About Rachel:

Rachel has been dancing since she was 3yrs old. Her roots in Chile means she began dancing Chilean dances such as ‘La Queca’ very young and had the joy of also looking up to her mum who performed other Latin dances.  She then moved to the USA at age 5yrs where she was influenced by the break dance culture, competing at school & performing at lunch times!  She settled in England at 9yrs, and as a young adult was asked by her dance teachers to cover their classes & soon moved into choreographing for long haul summer schools & various dance productions.  After Uni she danced in London for 3 yrs performing &  also casting for music videos.  Rachel realised that after all this experience, her true love was to teach both children & adults & spread the love of dance.  She started Funk It Up Dance School 16 years ago. The dance school grows every year, as does her passion to share it which brings stronger commitment & engagement from students.
